SEMINAR OUTLINE A lighthearted yet enlightening talk discovering that the principles of Ayurveda are already lively in our Awareness, and in all traditions around the world. Even in what our Grandmothers told us. Discover with Tim why the baritone burble of a hearty soup pacifies vata; why when dining out, the happiness of the chef is more important than the tantalizing menu; learn of the celebration of our individuality, ‘the dance of the doshas’
This is followed in the kitchen,‘cooking up a storm’. There is making ghee, several vegetarian dishes showing how to use spices (and their health benefits), the tricks of dhal making, and a very special tonic (rasayana) passed down to Tim by his teacher.

Digestion, the key to Transformation.
Understanding our digestive system and see the signs of imbalance before they become symptoms of disease. Ayurveda sees the body as it is, as indivisible whole conscious thing, not as a lot of bits that have been stuck together. Every part of it expresses the whole.
Our food must be transformed to be accepted by the body. If any of this process is upset in any way, then the tissues are like hungry babies, they cry out. Quietly at first and increasingly louder if still hungry until the noise fills the whole house (the body) and the neighbours too (our close ones). If we respond to the first cries, it is easy to fix.
Digestion does not occur just in the GI track but at all levels of the tissues. Each level of them gives symptoms which we can learn to recognise and respond to. Understanding digestion as a whole body process we see how we transform the world into us.
Come and gain an insight into Ayurveda's Wisdom of Transformation and move towards our natural state of health: acceptance, compassion and vitality are the symptoms of health. We will learn some practical daily routines towards this and some home kitchen remedies as well. Dates:
