Raisins – dried grapes (see grapes). They are a nutritive tonic especially combined with nuts. When soaked (for an hour or more) they are good for all (tridoshic).
A morning tonic: soak 3 figs and 1 heaped tablespoon of raisins overnight. Separately soak 3-4 whole almonds and peel in the morning and add to figs and raisins…Chew it well and drink the sweet water (not from the almonds).
