A native of South America, it was flourishing in India(1556) not long after Columbus saw it first on his second voyage(1493). Interestingly however are pottery models and carvings of it in the tombs of Egypt and Assyrian ruins. History still has many secrets and surprises for us I think.
They are cleansing and diuretic and a good digestive stimulant. High in enzymes and help with worms and parasites.
